By Petition for New Attendance Policy in Schools for the physically impaired
Following on from our story Parents criticise school for holding chocolate fountain tea party for children with 100% attendance a local mother has been in touch.
Mother, Emma Beech has decided to tackle the Government and the Education Sector along with Ofsted regarding this very subject matter as 9 year old daughter Mary-Jayne is asthmatic. Emma felt very strongly that nothing was compliant with the equalities act 2010.
If you agree that schools need to have a separate policy for attendance to those children who require medical treatment daily and that schools need to recognise they are discriminating against the physically impaired with daily medical needs on attendance issues then you can sign the petition here.
