Police take car away due to no insurance
A car was removed from a Grimsby street due to the vehicle having no insurance.
It was seized in the Holles Street area yesterday (Tuesday) due to the driver having no valid insurance.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “An officer had spoken to the driver and was performing checks at another location, but the driver then drove off.
“Checks showed that the vehicle had no insurance, so the officer attended the location of where the vehicle was registered to and the driver was found.”
The driver was unable to provide evidence that the vehicle had the correct documentation, which lawfully means a vehicle can be immediately seized.
The spokesperson added: “Having insurance ensures our roads are safe and is the responsibility of every driver.”
