By Healing business appeals for support to help ‘neighbours’
A village hotel is relaunching its campaign to support vulnerable people in the community through the pandemic.
Healing Manor Hotel is relaunching its ‘Nominate Your Neighbour’ campaign, and would like the public to nominate those who are vulnerable, isolated, or perhaps can’t leave their houses for other reasons, to receive a hot meal or care package.
“Are you a food manufacturer or producer? Are you in a position to lend a hand to the most vulnerable in our community?”
Healing Manor first launched the scheme in March across social media, aiming at isolating neighbours, loved ones, key workers and the vulnerable in the Grimsby-area community.
Alongside hand-delivering thousands of free meals to those nominated, the kitchen team worked hard kneading hundreds of loaves of bread each week, which were donated to various charities, key worker destinations and also given to residents in the village of Healing.
