Cleethorpes Leisure Centre Pool will remain closed for weeks.

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre Pool was closed following work to replace windows. It then remained closed after glass was found in the pool area.

If potentially thousands of glass fragments are not found and cleared they could be a danger to swimmers.

North East Lincolnshire Council was hoping it wouldn’t be closed for long, but it is now believed it will be closed for at least several more weeks.

It is thought that the pool will have to be drained to allow the clear up to continue.
