‘Have a Heart’ this Christmas

‘Have a Heart’ this Christmas

This year, Freshney Place shopping centre’s ‘Have a Heart’ campaign will return to help children who might not get a gift this Christmas.

The shopping centre is appealing to the local residents to take part in this heart-warming initiative in the run-up to Christmas by visiting the tree outside HMV and picking up a tag, which will inform them of a child’s gender and age.

They can then go and buy a gift for the child on the gift tag before taking it back to the customer service desk to be wrapped and given out, bringing a smile to a child’s face this Christmas.

The initiative is in partnership with local charities Building Resilience in Communities and the NSPCC.

This years campaign begins on Monday 14 November and will run until Sunday 18 December.

Freshney Place said: “Our annual Have a Heart campaign is back and launches on Monday 14th November to Sunday 18th December 2022

“Would you like to do something special this Christmas? Donate a gift to a young person in the local area who might otherwise not receive anything this Christmas.

“Simply choose a tag from the tree, located at our Customer Service Desk, near HMV. Purchase a gift for the age/gender on the tag and return the unwrapped gift and tag back to our Customer Service Desk.

“Put a smile on a young person’s face this Christmas. All kindly donated gifts will be given to BRIC and NSPCC.

“We would like to thank our amazing visitors for their continued support with this extremely worthy campaign.”
