Hurst and Doig pen new contracts with Town
Grimsby Town manager Paul Hurst and his assistant Chris Doig have signed new contracts at the club.
The duo have penned deals on improved terms after overseeing promotion back to the Football League and a solid start to this campaign.
Town sit ninth in the League Two table and are unbeaten in their last five league matches – a run that stretches all the way back to the opening day of the season.
Speaking to the club on behalf of himself and Doig, Hurst said the pair are “delighted to sign new deals” and are looking forward to continuing their roles in “helping the club progress, both on and off the pitch”.
“Our relationship with Jason, Andrew and Debbie, coupled with their ambition and vision, made it an easy decision for us,” he added. “The feeling around the club and the area is fantastic, and it is a pleasure to be involved in.”
Grimsby Town’s chair Jason Stockwood said: “We’re delighted that Paul and Chris have agreed to a new deal on improved terms. We really value the relationship and have the same outlook in building a culture of togetherness, ambition and trust.
“It also helps that we are totally aligned on values and how we want to continually improve as an organisation.
“We look forward, as a whole team, to building something really special at Grimsby Town and we genuinely appreciate Paul and Chris’ leadership.”
