Multiple road closures for ‘variety of works’ across the borough

North East Lincolnshire Council has released a statement regarding planned works, that will take place across the borough and aim to deliver on a ‘variety of works’

North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner, EQUANS, are to complete these works as part of the Local Transport Plan scheme. The works will be carried out across four different site locations between 7:30 am and 6 pm.

The first phase of works is set for Monday, August 15, and will take place on the B1210 Immingham Road, between no.4 to the junction of Mill Lane.

“The works include the provision of new road markings and marker posts, as well as the upgrade and replacement of an existing traffic sign.

“The works are programmed to start on Monday 15 August and will take approximately two days to complete. During this time, the road will be under two-way temporary traffic signals and mobile traffic management (stop and go boards),” they said.

The next phase will take place in Aylesby Village, which will include the full length of Beach Holt Lane and Nooking Lane, up to the junction of Buttlane and on the Main Road in Laceby. The works will commence on Monday 15 August.

“The works include new road markings, refreshing the existing markings, and upgrading the existing traffic signs.

“The works are programmed to start on Monday 15 August and will take approximately two days to complete. During this time, there will be a full road closure on Beach Holt Lane, Nooking Lane, and Main Road (up to the junction of Butt Lane) and a signed diversion route will be in place,” they added.

For the third phase, works will take place on Butt Lane, between the mini roundabout at Little Back/Mulberry Lane, in Laceby. This will run up to Londmeadows Drive junction, starting Wednesday, August 17.

“The works include the provision of new road markings and replacement of existing traffic signs.

“The works are programmed to start on Wednesday 17 August and will take approximately two days to complete. During this time, the road will be under two-way temporary traffic signals and mobile traffic management (stop and go boards),” they said.

The fourth and final phase of works will commence Wednesday, August 17, in Ashby cum Fenby, and will be the full length of Ashby Lane and the Main Road.

“The works are programmed to start on Wednesday 17 August and will take approximately two days to complete.

“The works include the provision of new road markings, refreshing the existing markings, and upgrading the existing traffic signs. During this time, there will be a road closure on Ashby Lane and Main Road (up to the junction with Post Office Lane) and a signed diversion route will be in place,” they said.

“Please note, the contractors can only provide an approximate programme of works due to being the uncertainty of exact timescales required at each location, as well as the works being subject to weather permitting conditions. Therefore, as a contingency, there may be works on Friday 19 August,” they concluded.
