Man found with ‘head injuries’ in Grimsby hospitalised

A man has been hospitalised with head injuries after being found in the middle of a street in Grimsby.

The man was found in the middle of Haycroft Street on the West Marsh estate, in Grimsby. Witnesses reported the man being found around midnight, shortly before 1 am,  with a police cordon being put in place and officers on scene.

The man was taken to hospital following assessment and will receive treatment for head injuries, which aren’t thought to be serious. Investigations are now underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact the police to help with the ongoing enquiries.

Humberside Police said: “Enquiries have been carried out in Haycroft Street in Grimsby this morning, Wednesday 20 July, following reports that a man had been found in the street with a head injury shortly before 1 am.

“Emergency Services attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries which are not thought to be serious. Investigations are underway to establish the circumstances of how he came to be injured and anyone with information is asked to call our non-emergency 101 line, quoting log 18 of 20 July.”
