Police kept busy in Scunthorpe following spate of incidents
Humberside Police were kept busy across the town over the weekend following several incidents resulting in numerous arrests.
Officers were called out to multiple incidents this weekend as the force continues to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour across the town.
As the weekend kicked-off and locals engaged in alcohol-fuelled nights out, Humberside Police were called to reports of a woman causing trouble in the town centre.
Following their arrival, and managing to nullify the incident, officers arrested the female for being drunk and disorderly.
Then, officers confirmed a woman had been arrested for domestic related common assault before being called to a third report.
Police were called to a serious situation at a licenced premises in the town. Subsequently, one male suspect was arrested for a public order offence in relation to the altercation.
In another frustrating roof top stand off in Scunthorpe, a male found himself in police custody.
Officers were aided by road policing teams, dog units, National Police Air Service (NPAS) and even required air coverage via a drone.
Finally, a male was arrested and charged for several offences following a serious incident at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
In a statement, the force stated:
“A male has been charged with offences including Indecent Exposure & Racially Aggravated Public Order after causing issues at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
“This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated as we stand united with our colleagues in the NHS.”
