Amazing volunteer group set to maintain People’s Park this weekend!
An amazing group of volunteers will band together in a monthly initiative to help maintain the beautiful People’s Park.
The open for anybody group session will allow local park lovers to chip in and help maintain our gorgeous park.
Meeting on Sunday 10 July at 10am, the group will help keep “this amazing space looking beautiful” for the general public to enjoy.
The wonderful initiative will retain focus onto gardening and litter picking to keep the area looking breath-taking.
Volunteers will be able to get stuck in via several items on the day’s itinerary, such as digging, weeding, pruning, planting and litter picking.
In the open invitation message, the group stated:
“With summer in full swing there is lots to do in the park to keep the flower beds looking great.
“With limited council resources it is up to volunteers to help out and keep this amazing space looking beautiful.
“Our monthly volunteer session is on Sunday 10th July 10am – 1pm. If you can lend an hour or so of your time for some digging, weeding, pruning, planting or litter picking it would be greatly appreciated.
“All welcome. Equipment is supplied (although you may wish to bring some gardening gloves).
“Meet at 10am at the Bowling Green or just find us (we the ones on the high viz jackets!). You can pop along any time between 10am – 1pm.”
What a brilliant way to serve our local community, and to ensure our beautiful park is kept looking fantastic! Thank you!
