Jordan Cropper STAYS with the Black and White Army!
GTFC have confirmed Jordan Cropper will play his football at Blundell Park next season after penning a one-year contract.
Cropper follows Amos’ footsteps and will stay with the Mariners next season, ready for life back in the EFL.
The 22-year-old had stunned fans during GTFC’s National League promotion winning season after coming to Blundell Park from Chesterfield in March.
Cropper gained instant recognition for his deadly long throws which had been invaluable during the play-off run.
The bright defender said he is “delighted” to play his football with Town next season, adding:
“I’m really looking forward to the new season back in the Football League and playing back in front of our excellent fans. Our away support last season was just as good as the home support and to have over 13,000 there at the final was just incredible.”
Paul Hurst sang Cropper’s praises speaking to the club following the announcement:
“He’s another who’s played a part in helping the Club achieve promotion. Many people will look at his long throw which had a big hand in our all-important winning goal in the final. We also got a goal in the Wrexham game from one of his long throws as well, so it’s certainly an asset for us as a team, although there’s lots more to Jordan’s game than just his throwing ability.
“Jordan is another player we feel has more potential in him and hopefully we can see that in the coming season.”
