‘Utterly stupid and reckless’ motorbike riders causing chaos at night
North Lincolnshire residents have had their patience tested by late night motorbike riders who have since been labelled as “utterly stupid and reckless.”
Residents in Brigg have stressed their concerns over the amount of young and “inconsiderate” motorbike riders taking to the streets without safety gear and noisy joyrides in the early hours.
In a social media post, one local urged residents to keep their eyes open for “young lads” riding motorcycles without safety gear and no licence plates, causing some to believe the bike may be stolen.
Whilst the safety of the riders is a concern, their late-night antics have resulted in a strong response from many living in the small town.
“There was some moron on a bike last night, no baffler so making a right racket, 11pm at night”, added on frustrated local.
Meanwhile, one resident confirmed they rang 101 as the noise had been so loud:
“I rang 101 last night as they seem to circuit around Redcombe lane and grammar school road. They were so loud!!”
“I reported them to police 2 weeks ago on springbank no helmets or reg plates got pics on cctv still not heard back from police”, added another.
One eyewitness told how they spotted two youths riding on a motorbike with the passenger holding onto a push bike which triggered further questions in relation to bike theft in the area.
“Seems to be happening alot just lately, need to be carrying a broom handle”, joked one frustrated local.
