Tragedy as pair pronounced dead in Utterby house fire
A man and woman have tragically died in a house fire at their residence in Utterby.
Emergency Services attended the incident on Main Road after receiving reports of the blaze at 11.17pm last night (Thursday, June 23).
Tragically, a 92-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the property.
Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are carrying out investigations. A road closure is in place and emergency services remain at the scene. Police are advising people to avoid the area.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “A 92-year-old man and 83-year-old woman have died following a fire at a property in Main Road, Utterby, Louth. Our Force Control Room received a report of a fire at around 11.17pm on Thursday 23 June.
“Sadly, the man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are carrying out a joint investigation. A road closure is in place on the Main Road at the Ludborough crossroads.
