Police search for witness following fatal Scunthorpe collision
Humberside Police have identified a witness to a fatal collision in Scunthorpe.
Humberside Police are appealing for help locating a driver of a red Nissan Micra following a devastating fatal collision.
The incident took place on Friday 17 June on Burringham Road at around 9:25pm, when a Silver Audi A4 convertible left the road and collided with a nearby tree.
Sadly, a 24-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three other occupants were rushed to hospital to receive medical assistance.
Yesterday (19 June), the force released a statement after their investigations identified a vehicle of interest, which read:
“Were you driving a red Nissan Micra on Friday 17 June on Burringham Road, Scunthorpe?
“Following further lines of enquiry to identify a witness driving a light-coloured vehicle, officers are now particularly keen to speak to the driver of what they believe to be a red Nissan Micra which is thought to have seen the Audi just before the collision.
“We would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage from the area at the time. Please call 101 quoting log 630 of 17 June.”
