By 8 arrests kept police in Scunthorpe busy over the weekend
Police in Scunthorpe had a busy weekend as 8 perpetrators were arrested.
Over the weekend, Humberside Police had enjoyed several successful operations which saw 8 people arrested.
Yesterday (12 June), 8 male suspects were arrested in separate incidents.
Earlier in the day, officers chased four men from garden to garden as the they attempted to evade capture in the Sorrell Way area.
In a statement, the force confirmed the men 4 four men were arrested following a “garden hoping race”
“Four males have been arrested after losing a garden hopping race to Police. If anyone has anything to report from the Sorrell Way area, please ring 101 quoting log number 109 of today’s date (12 June)”, Humberside Police said.
Then, following reports of suspicions activity in the Speedwell Crescent area in the early hours, officers descended into the vicinity.
An additional 4 male suspects were subsequently arrested for attempted Burglary, doubling officers’ arrest total to 8 on the night!
“Following reports of suspicious activity and attempts to break into houses and cars in the Speedwell Crescent area after 4am, we have arrested 4 males for attempted Burglary. Enquiries continuing through the day, please check CCTV if available, Log 109 12/06/22 refers”, the force added.
