Action in the Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League continues to entertain!

Mulligans Trojans are averaging over 10 frames a match so far this season and they continued their relentless form during round four, defeating 9th placed Showman’s Cobras 10-2.  

Showman’s Army, the only other team in the division on 100% record also were merciless as they dispatched promoted Redbourne Mods 12-1.  

Showman’s Fu Cue will be looking to kick start their title bid. This week winning 9-3 at home to bottom side Back in Black Beauty.  

Sharing third spot with Fu Cue come stable mates Chaos who also won 9-3 against promoted side Brumby Hall A. Meanwhile Beacon scored their first victory of the season 8-5 away at high flying Broughton Club Pirates.

Cocked Hat B remain the only side in division 2 on 100% record as they jumped to the top of the table following a 9-4 victory at Mill Road Black Cats, ending their unbeaten start to the season.  

Next up in second are Mulligans Majestic Sausage Dogs on 31 points, just one point behind the leaders with their third victory of the season against Messingham Crown, winning 9-3.  

RAOB remain just a couple of points off the top despite their 6-6 draw with Black Beauty A. Glenny’s Poachers recorded their first victory of the campaign against fellow strugglers Ashby Crown A 7-5 as both remain in the relegation places.  

Meanwhile Showmans Improvers move level in 4th as they beat Winterton Jubilee 7-5 whom they share 4th spot with.

Fedoras sit at the top of division 3 for another week but could only manage a 6-6 draw with 9th placed Harry’s Bar this week. The other draw came at Beacon as Rat Outcasts shared the spoils with Chancel Flyers.  

Liberal stay rooted to the bottom as they were comfortably beaten 9-3 at Cocked Hat who move up to second place. Mulligans Tight Rack appear to have turned the corner following a slow start to the season with a creditable 8-4 win over Old Farmhouse ending their unbeaten start to the season.  

Pig & Whistle pull 9 frames clear of the drop zone as they came away from Showman’s Spartans with a 9-4 victory.

Schnapps are early favourites for the division 4 title following their promotion from division 5 as runners up. This week they scored the biggest result of the week winning 10-2 against Mulligans Youth.  

Redbourne Madness stay hot on the heels of Schnapps winning 8-4 against RHH Hospital Club, third placed Bottesford Town A likewise winning 9-4 at Mulligans STs.  

Jolly Sailor remain in the bottom two, however it wasn’t plain sailing for the away side Redbourne NnC as it took a recoding frame to register their 8-5 victory.

Division 7 champions Showman’s Hornets are looking for back-to-back title victories and are on course to do so following another creditable victory, this time 9-4 away at Butchers of Winterton.  

Black Beauty B stay second after dispatching third placed Mill Road Dynamite 8-5 whilst Showman’s Young Ones stay in the hunt for promotion coming away from Talbot with an 8-5 victory.  

Beckwood Bombers recorded their first victory of the season as they managed an 8-4 at home to Mill Road. Ashby Crown B and Roxy Rack Em shared the spoils 6-6 this week as both aim to pull away from the relegation zone sooner rather than later.

Harry’s Bar Harriers maintained their lead at the top of division 6 winning 9-3 against Foxhills Club. 

Schapps Elite are also hungry for a title win this season, winning comfortably 10-3 away at Scunthorpe Bowl to move up to second. Brumby Hall B avoided defeat for the first time this season as they beat Mill Road DM 8-4 which will do their survival hopes a world of good.  

Foxhills Bulldogs stay in the title picture as they beat fellow promoted side Beckwood Sex Panthers. The first Beacon derby of the season ended in stalemate as fourth placed Old Boys drew 6-6 with sixth placed Rats.

The match of the day in division 7 was first placed Mulligans Unique versus third placed Lord Roberts as both sides put on the line their unbeaten streaks.  

In the end both remained intact as the result ended in a draw. Schnapps reloaded are yet another team from the venue in a title hunt. This week they came away from Bottesford Town B with a draw to preserve only one of three unbeaten records left in the division.  

Grosvenor were also sensing blood this week as they came away from Priory in ruthless form winning 11-2 to move up to second. Schnapps Retro B won the first Retro derby of the season with a 9-4 victory. 

Newcomers Keadby Club are also well in the title picture this season as they won once again, this week 10-3 away at Mulligans Spurs.
