Yet another incredible week in the Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League!

Showman’s Army once again got the better of their stablemates in the latest derby match. In typical fashion, the match was closely matched but in the end the reigning league and cup double winners edged out the respective runners up with a 7-5 victory.

Mulligans Trojans lead the way by five points following their 10-3 win at Beacon.

Promoted Redbourne mods score their second win of the campaign with an 8-5 win away at Showman’s Cobras whilst both Showman’s Chaos and Broughton Club maintain a top four position with victories over Back in Black Beauty and Brumby Hall.

Two points separate the top 6 in division 2 which is good signs for another closely fought title race in this division.

Cocked Hat remains the only team in div 2 to maintain a 100%-win record, beating Showman’s Improvers 7-5.

RAOB share the top spot as they drew with newcomers Mill Road Black Cats 6-6. Also on 24 points is Winterton Jubilee who comprehensively beat Glenny’s Poachers 10-2.

Mulligans Majestic Sausage Dogs scored the biggest victory of the night winning 11-2 away at Ashby Crown whilst Messingham Crown score their first win of the season 8-4 versus Black Beauty.

Division 3 appears to be a battle of the reigning division 4 and division 5 champions at this early stage.

The former, Fedoras scored an impressive 11-2 win at Liberal Club whist Old Farmhouse also registered a good 9-3 win over Cocked Hat.

Hot on their heels is Chancel Flyers who continue their impressive form with an 8-4 win over Mulligans Tight Rack. Beacon Rat Outcasts won 8-5 away at Pig & Whistle.

Harry’s Bar Harriers pull three clear at the top of division 6, winning 11-2 away at Mill Road DM, closely followed by Schnapps Elite in second who scored a good 9-3 victory over Foxhills Bulldogs whom they share second place with.

Beckwood also tie runners up spot on 21 points but couldn’t avoid defeat this week losing at home to beacon B 9-4.

Foxhills Club move only a point behind these teams in third with a 7-5 victory over Scunthorpe Bowl.

Beacon Rats scored their first victory of the season which was made more intriguing as 14-year-old Rueben Khan (pictured) broke dished his opponent in under one minute in clinical fashion.

Mulligans Unique maintain their 100% start to the season in division 7 defeating Priory 8-4.

Newcomers Keadby Club scored an 8-4 win on their debut against Schnapps Retro A. The other Schnapps Retro side also tasted victory as the B side beat Bottesford Town B 7-5.
