It’s a huge day in Wales for the Mariners!

The Mariners have a huge day ahead of them as they travel to Wales for their play-off semi-final.

This afternoon, the Black and White Army will face tough opposition as they look to keep promotions dreams alive.

Wrexham finished in second place in the National League, collecting the second-best win-loss record. However, Grimsby were one of eight sides to beat the Dragons in a 3-1 victory.

In similar fashion to Notts County, Grimsby and Wrexham have both claimed three points against one another this campaign.

As the countdown to kick off edges closer and closer, Town fans continue to flood social media with their thoughts, feelings, and travel anecdotes.

Nervousness was a recurring theme from Monday’s 2-1 victory – Grimsby supporters know how big this game truly is!

“Nerves are kicking in, is it too early for beer?”, one fan added.

“Nerves nerves and more nerves. UTM”, added another.

Meanwhile, Jake Smith, a lifelong Mariner, took to social media to ask for a “saviour” after his means of transportation broke down.

Jake and his four friends were left stranded near the Ferry Bridge Services. Fortunately, a Twitter user stumbled across his plea for assistance and was able to secure a lift to the match!

How are you watching the game? Did you manage to get a ‘golden ticket’? Are you at the pub? Or are you watching from the comfort of your own home? Let us know!
