The Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League is well underway!

Division 7 newcomers Bottesford Town B pulled off the upset of the round defeating division 3 promotion hopefuls Showmans Spartans 5-2.  

The away side took a 2-1 lead early on, however the underdogs wrapped up the tie in the first round of doubles to secure their place into the first round.  

The closest tie of the round was at Beckwood as the Bombers secured the win in the deciding frame to overcome Brumby Hall B 5-4.  

The division 1 and 7 champions from Showmans, Army and Hornets respectfully progressed to round one comfortably with 5-1 and 5-0 wins against Cocked Hat and Schnapps Retro A.  

Division 4 and team ko plate double winners Fedoras also carried on their hot form into the new season, whitewashing Talbot 5-0 whist Schnapps A complete the line-up for the last 64 of the team KO as they came away from Mill Road with the win.

League members congregated at Mulligans Sports at the weekend to collect trophies from the last campaign with approximately 250 trophies being collected from many successful recipients. 

Representatives from both Pictured: Showmans Fu Cue and Mulligans Trojans split the division 1 runners up prize and collected a memorial plaque in memory of the late Jamie Christie who passed away in 2021.
