Man being treated for injuries after a collision at Pyewipe
There has been a collision involving vehicles near Novartis, near the Moody Lane junction.
Emergency services are in attendance at a road traffic collision near the Novartis Pharmaceuticals plant on the Pyewipe Industrial Estate in Grimsby
Humberside Police released a statement regarding the collision earlier today:
“Road closures are currently in place in the Moody Lane area of Grimsby following reports that a lorry had collided with a tree shortly before 11 am today, Thursday 12 May.
“Emergency services attended and one man is being treated for injuries, the extent of which is not currently known.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.”
It is reported that a lorry has collided with a tree at the entrance to the plant.
An emergency fast responder, a paramedic in a fast response car, two ambulances, and an air ambulance attended the incident which happened at around 10.50 am today.
Humberside Police and Humberside Fire & Rescue are also at the scene.
A cordon is in place and motorists are being diverted at the level crossing on Pyewipe Road.
