Scunthorpe pool league remembers former winners with memorial trophies
The Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League has announced new memorial trophies to remember former winners.
The Scunthorpe Tuesday Pool League have announced that they have named three new memorial trophies after former winners who sadly passed away.
In a statement, the league said they will rename the Mulligans KO Shield to “the Jamie Christie memorial”
The over 50s trophy is set to be called the Keith Enefer memorial, named after the league’s former chairman who introduced the competition.
Finally, the over 50s doubles will be renamed as “the Gary Lewis memorial”
The statement concluded with:
“These were three legends of the pool scene for many years that we’ll remember forever”
The announcement was met with endless support from locals, one saying:
“What a really nice thing to rename these trophies! Well done!”
“Wow! What a great gesture, class touch”, added another.
“That is a really nice thing to do”
