The Mariners could secure play-off spot during final home game tonight!
The Mariners could secure a play-off spot during their final home fixture of the season tonight.
After a disappointing result at the weekend, Town will be looking to bounce back against 9th place Boreham Wood tonight (10 May)
The Black and White Army would obtain a play-off spot with a single point, but fans will be hoping for all three at Blundell Park under the lights!
Despite their 3-1 home defeat on Saturday, Grimsby will be expecting a packed stadium to cheer on the boys as they make a final push this season.
Yesterday, Town gaffer, Paul Hurst was announced as the Vanarama National League Manager of the month. His team were unbeaten in all matches played during April.
Additionally, the Mariners have looked increasingly dangerous in the final third, which should hopefully bode well against the Wood this evening.
Grimsby fans have shared their excitement on social media ahead of the final home fixture, one stated:
“Come on guys and gals! Get yourselves down to Blundell Park this evening and support the boys!”
“It’s going to be a great atmosphere tonight. UP THE MARINERS”, another added.
Speaking about Towns injury struggles following Scannell’s early exit at the Weekend, one fan said:
“It’s not going to be an easy match tonight”
“It’s going to be tough game, but the lads will give it everything”, added another.
