Rubbish continues to mount in Grimsby alley

A post to social media has shown a significant amount of waste dumped in an alley behind a residential area in Grimsby.

The post on Twitter shows multiple bags of rubbish piled up alongside various other forms of waste.

The social media post was shared on the 2nd May.

The dumped waste varies from large items to smaller household waste, even from the pictures a large seat is seen dumped.

The alley is understood to be behind Lord Street and Dover Street, with rubbish piling high all along the length of the alley.

The user who posted to social media wrote: “All the same alley absolutely disgusting who actually thinks this is acceptable.”

There have been increased reports of fly-tipping in the area, an unfortunate story recently involved a dead animal carcass found dumped amongst rubbish.

Anger was seen amongst some assumed residents who commented on the post.

“Absolutely disgusting, what chance do those who care about the community they live in have. When clearly so many don’t!” one user wrote.

Another spoke of a previous experience stating: “Used to live down Alexandra Rd and some of my neighbours used to launch their rubbish over the back of their wall on to wasteland rather than put it in the bin and wheel it out the front.”

If you have any information regarding this matter contact Humberside Police or submit a report on NELC website.
