Go extreme with Jerry Green Dog Rescue to help out local pups
Get ready to swim, run, jump from a plane, or peddle to raise money for Jerry Green Dog Rescue in their new ‘Go Extreme with Jerry Green’ challenges.
The rescue, founded in 1961 in Broughton, Lincolnshire is now one of the UK’s largest dog rescue charities.
With four Centres across three counties; North Lincolnshire, South Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire they continue to provide a safe place for homeless dogs and seek new loving places for them to live.
They provide the highest standards of welfare for the dogs in their care and actively seek opportunities to educate the public on matters about dog welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among dogs.
With the launch of ‘Go Extreme with Jerry Green’, they hope to inspire local individuals, families, and communities to get active, make lasting memories, and raise funds for homeless dogs.
Take to the skies to raise money by taking part in a thrilling skydive or an exhilarating wing-walk!
For the outdoorsy types, challenge yourself to walk 26 miles in 12 hours in their Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.
If you don’t feel like thrill-seeking is for you, maybe raise money through their 60 miles in May challenge, perfect for all ages and abilities.
This is the first of nine series to be launched so keep an eye out for what else is in store.
Peter Dennis, Community Activity Co-ordinator, said: “We’re so excited to bring you these incredible experiences in 2022 with many more amazing challenges in the pipeline, from bungee jumps to international challenges; there really is a challenge for everyone to get involved with and earn a ‘Go Extreme with Jerry Green’ medal!
“Our dedicated fundraising team is ready to support you, so you can support the vital work we do to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need of a second chance!”
