Police kept busy with assaults and domestics in Grimsby and Cleethorpes
Humberside Police were kept busy this weekend with assaults, burglaries, crashes and domestic incidents across North East Lincolnshire.
Officers reported a number of incidents via a string of social media posts.
According to reports, police got off to a busy start dealing with an overturned vehicle at the junction of Louth Road and Station Road.
Shortly after, officers reported being “extremely busy” as they dealt with a domestic incident and multiple assaults in Cleethorpes.
In the early hours of Saturday, a spokesperson for the force tweeted: “A busy night for Patrol Team 3.
“We’ve dealt with assaults, domestic incidents, sexual offences, burglary and missing persons.
“We’re with you until 0700 but (in the nicest way) we’d prefer not to meet you this evening / morning.”
This morning officers reported having dealt with several serious incidents including safety logs for children, and attempting to locate and arrest a high-risk offender.
A spokesperson tweeted: “Even on rest days Team 3 Patrol are out at it serving the community on overtime.
“Spent well arresting suspects for serious assaults moments after the incident, attending concern for safety logs for children, RTCs and burglaries in progress.
“And to top it off, a last minute successful arrest attempt locating a high risk offender hiding in an attic, arrested for threats to kill.”
