Officers rush to Freshney Place after assault
Officers from Humberside Police rushed to Freshney Place this afternoon after a shocking assault.
Witnesses at the scene stated two police cars, a police van and an ambulance were spotted racing to the precinct at roughly 3 pm this afternoon (Wednesday 2 March).
According to reports a man was punched down the high street in broad daylight.
Officers have stated that the victim has been safeguarded.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of an assault in Freshney Place, Grimsby, at around 3:00pm today (Wednesday 2 March).
“It is reported that a man punched another. The victim has since been safeguarded.
