25-year-old woman charged following alleged Stanley Street stabbing
A 25-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the Stanley Street stabbing which took place on Tuesday afternoon.
Today, the woman was charged with one case of assault (GBH), three counts of assaulting police officers and the possession of an offensive weapon – namely a knife – following her arrest after the incident, which took place at around 4.40pm.
Much of the road was closed after officers were called to the alleged stabbing, after which they confirmed that a male victim had been taken to hospital.
He had sustained non-life threatening injuries, and two people were arrested.
At the time, a Humberside Police spokesperson said: “A male reported that he had sustained a knife wound. Officers were on the scene quickly and were able to apprehend two suspects.
“The individual that sustained injuries is being treated for a non-life-threatening wound.
“We understand that this was a disturbing scene for the local residents to witness.
“No further individuals are wanted in connection with this incident at this stage. Our officers will continue to patrol the area to offer reassurance to residents.”
The woman is due to appear in court today.
