Gilbey Road house party leads to three arrests after people suffer knife wounds

Three people were arrested on Saturday night after a house party on Gilbey Road, Grimsby, saw two people being injured with knife wounds.

Police were called to the scene at 10.30pm, in which one person had suffered a knife wound to their hand. A man with knife wounds who had left the party was also found a short time later.

The two men and one woman who were arrested have since been released from custody under investigation.

Humberside Police have released the following statement: “Two men and a woman were arrested on Saturday night on Gilbey Road in Grimsby following a house party which ended with two people injured.

“We were called at 10.30pm to reports of a disturbance at the address.  One person reported a knife wound to their hand and a further man with knife wounds was located a short time later having left the address.

“The three people that were arrested have since been released from custody under investigation as we continue our enquiries.

“We understand that this was a disturbing scene for the local residents to witness, the local policing team will be in the area today to support their community.  If any residents have any worries they can come to us and talk about their concerns.”
