Grimsby man and woman arrested after officers found cannabis and £20,000 stash
A Grimsby man and woman were arrested yesterday after Humberside Police executed a warrant at a property on Welholme Road.
Upon entry, officers found a “quantity” of cannabis, along with a stash of £20,000 in cash.
The 30-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and money laundering.
They have now been released under investigation.
A statement from Humberside Police reads: “A man and a woman have been arrested after officers from our #OpGalaxy team executed a warrant at a property on Welholme Road, Grimsby yesterday (Wednesday 9 June).
“Upon entering the property, a quantity of cannabis was located as well as £20,000 in cash.
“A warrant at an additional property on Cromwell Road, Grimsby was also searched were officers discovered a cannabis grow.
“The 30-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and money laundering and have now been released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.”
