South Ferriby road closure

South Ferriby road closure

The road closure is due to planning changes to flood defences in the area.

South Ferriby Parish Council has issued the following statement: ‘A lane closure to the eastbound side of the A1077 in the vicinity of the Sluice & Lock on the Ancholme has been scheduled for 14 weeks commencing 11th January 2021 to raise and strengthen flood defences to the North of the road.’

Delays expected

‘A Full Road Closure has been scheduled for the February 2021 Half Term starting Saturday 13th February for up to 7 days and programmed to be complete by Friday 19th February 2021.

There will still be some periods where there is one-way traffic either side of the road closure to install safety fencing to the verge of the road either side of CEMEX gate.’

Road users should expect delays on the diverted routes and should leave more time for work commutes.
