Two in custody after machete and drugs seized
Two men are in custody after police tracked down a ‘suspicious’ looking car which held some dangerous and potentially lethal items.
Last night while on overnight patrols, officers from Humberside Police located a suspicious looking vehicle in Grimsby.
Officers searched the vehicle along with its driver and passengers for any illegal items.
During the search, officers found a large quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs along with a machete.
Humberside Police said: “Officers on overnight patrols have located a suspicious vehicle parked up in Grimsby. The vehicle and passengers were subsequently searched which revealed they were in possession of a machete and a large quantity of suspected class A controlled drugs. Two males are in custody.”
Locals expressed their shock at the find and thanked the police for carrying out the search.
One person said: “A machete! Jeez. What possible excuse could they have? ‘Honestly, guv, I need it for garden clearance’ or ‘I have to use it since someone nicked my sword’ ‘It’s ornamental. I’m a learner Samurai’. Great job. Well done. Thank you.”
