Horror as homeless man’s tent set alight
A local man has launched a donation drive after a homeless person sleeping in a tent on Cleethorpes promenade woke to discover his tent had been set alight yesterday evening.
Describing the incident, Aaron Goss wrote: “Regardless of opinions on homelessness issues in the area, Anthony, the owner of this “home” was awoken to a blaze tonight. He said to me how he had just got a smaller tent to move location because feared an incident like this would happen after he was chased by a group only a few days prior.
“During the blaze all his possessions was lost, including his new tent for the move.”
Now, Mr Goss is hoping to collect items to see Anthony through the festive period and is urging locals to show “humanity to our fellow man.”
He is hoping to get hold of a replacement tent, clean warm clothing, a sleeping bag, a camping chair and any other useful items.
