Humberside Police have released an update following a dramatic incident which saw officers chase a suspect near to the M180.

The incident began when officers received reports that the lorry was towing a stolen trailer on Saturday 26 November.

Officers followed the vehicle, but the suspect quickly abandoned it and fled on foot.

After a short chase they eventually caught up with and arrested him close to the M180.

Humber Roads Police tweeted: “This morning Team 3 Roads Policing responded to reports of a HGV that had stolen a trailer. Officers located the vehicle and after a short foot pursuit detained the driver near to the M180.

“Suspect remains in custody whilst we investigate multiple high value thefts in Humberside.”

Now, a 27-year-old man has been charged with three incidents.
