Wanted rapist ‘not a threat’ says MP

Boston MP Matt Warman has said he believes prison absconder and rapist Paul Marshall is “not a threat to the Lincolnshire public as he’s not in Lincolnshire.”

The statement comes despite the fact that Marshall recently absconded from a prison in Boston, Lincolnshire, and that police have instructed the public not to approach him.

Convicted sex offender Paul Marshall, 53, was reported missing from HMP North Sea Camp on Tuesday, 22 November.

He was serving a life sentence at the site for rape and wounding with intent. Within days CCTV cameras captured him in Mansfield, but he has yet to be apprehended.

Despite Warman’s claim he has labelled the situation a ‘sign of failure’ and says he is in regular dialogue with the Prisons Minister about the issue.

Anyone who sees Marshall should not approach him but should instead call 999, quoting incident 298 of 22/11/2022.
