Update after emergency services swarm A180
An incident saw traffic on the A180 come to a standstill for several hours last night.
Police and ambulance services were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway between the Stallingborough and Brocklesby junctions at around 5:20pm yesterday, Tuesday 22 November, when three cars and a lorry were involved in a road traffic collision.
Emergency services including several fire engines, first responders and an air ambulance ambulance attended the scene.
Speaking at the time, a spokesperson for Humberside Police wrote: “Please be aware that the A180 westbound near the JET garage is currently experiencing delays due to an ongoing incident. Traffic is backing up. Please avoid the area where possible.”
Now, officers have confirmed that two people were injured in the incident.
Thankfully, they are not thought to be seriously injured.
In an updated statement a spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A180 at around 5:20pm last night (Tuesday 22 November).
“It was reported that three cars and a lorry were in collision on the westbound carriageway between the Stallingborough and Brocklesby junctions.
“Two people were treated for what are believed to be minor injuries.
“The road was cleared at around 7:30pm and we would like to thank motorists for their patience. If anyone has information regarding this incident, you can get in touch with us on 101, quoting log 353 of 22 November.”
