Scunthorpe to close East Stand for remaining pre-season fixtures

Scunthorpe United will close Glanford Park’s East Stand for the Iron’s remaining home pre-season fixtures.

The Iron have confirmed the East Stand will not be accessible for pre-season friendly matches against Rochdale and Peterborough United.

The club noted the decision was a brought on by “operational reasons.”

Supporters who have already purchased tickets to be seated in the East Stand will have their entry points redirected to the Easy Buy Stand as default, Scunthorpe United added.

“It is recommended that supporters enter via Turnstile 8 (next to the ticket office and club shop), with access to the Sir Ian Botham Executive Lounge available on that side of the stadium,” the statement continued.

“Any wheelchair disabled supporters will still be able to access tickets to the East Stand.”

For fans who have already obtained their tickets ready for the two home fixtures, the club confirmed you will not have to do anything further.

However, if you wish to be relocated to the Britcon Stand, you are being urged to contact the ticket office to arrange the change, and to attain a “partial refund, where applicable.”
