GTFC close to reaching 5,000 season ticket sales!
The Mariners are edging ever closer to another incredible milestone.
Grimsby Town are now less than one month away from starting their journey back in League Two!
The Black and White Army will join Stockport County after both sides obtained promotion last season.
Whilst Grimsby earned promotion well over a month ago, the support has continued to impress with a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks.
The official GTFC social media outlets have teased fans with visually striking video content, transfer confirmations have been top quality, and the pre-season campaign will get underway this weekend.
However, the key talking point must be season ticket support over the course of previous weeks – fans have exhibited nothing but die-hard support, snatching up tickets in the hundreds every single day!
Since sales went live, the club had been blown away with the uptake and even managed to smash last years’ season ticket purchases all together.
Now, and well deservedly, Town are on the edge of breaking 5,000 season ticket sales, a figure roughly close to the average attendance at Blundell Park last season.
In their previous announcement, the club confirmed they have already sold 4,775 season tickets with another two weeks left of the Early Bird discount running.
Additionally, many more fans are still expected to renew their tickets from last year, meaning 5,000 is more than a realistic target for the newly promoted side.
In a statement, the club thanked everyone who has already obtained their tickets whilst reminding fans of the amazing Early Bird offer that is still running:
“We’d like to remind fans who either haven’t renewed their season ticket yet or are thinking of purchasing one, to do it before the early bird discount prices end on Tuesday 19th July.
“Also, season ticket seats from last season will only be held until Tuesday 19th; as from Wednesday 20th supporters will be able to purchase any seats which haven’t been renewed yet and those who have purchased ones already, will be eligible to move theirs.
“You can buy your season ticket online by clicking here, or via the Ticket Office at Blundell Park.”
There is a real possibility that a 5,000-ticket sale announcement could happen this week! Stay tuned, Mariners.
