Shock as popular restaurant The Manor House listed for sale
A popular restaurant in the Grimsby has now been listed on the market with a £500,000 pricetag.
The Manor House in Scartho previously received a major refurbishment and opened a year later, formerly known as The Beeches Hotel, and has 18 bedrooms.
The premises were taken over by Ryan Mabbott, the owner of the popular restaurant The Ship Inn at Barnoldby-le-Beck. The interior was completely transformed and carefully designed, including the piano bar, which gave the Manor House its distinct feel.
The Manor House was referenced as a “gold standard” in hospitality.
When it was formerly The Beeches, it had been used as emergency accommodation during the coronavirus pandemic as a shelter for homeless people.
“Shame it’s lovely inside.” One user commented.
The venue has a significant car park with 15 spaces to the side and also a car park at the front.
North East Lincolnshire Council commissioned the venue during the pandemic as a shelter for homeless people before it was taken over last year.
Featured in each of the rooms, are a TV, microwave and kettle, and beds. There was also a warden in charge of taking care.
The Manor House opened in August last year. The bar and lounge catered for around 70 guests with 20 more outside. There was fine dining and a piano bar, which proved locally popular for its aesthetic, and relaxed atmosphere.
The refurbishment included a new patisserie in the kitchen refurbishment, the venue once had a three-star rating and was home to The Round Table.
