Grimsby Town negotiates ticket concerns with the National League

Grimsby Town have conducted thorough discussions with the National League to rectify ticket issues.

Since the National League play-off final ticket prices were announced, fans from both camps (Grimsby Town and Solihull Moors) have voiced displeasure with the league.

Tickets for the final begin at £40 with £3.99 in ‘add ons’, a figure that is higher than the League 2, League 1, and Championship play-off finals.

Frustrated with the National League, Grimsby fans took to social media to share their thoughts which prompted an incredible response from Grimsby Town and the Mariners Trust!

Earlier this morning (30 May), the Mariners Trust announced that they would be collecting monetary donations to help send Town fans to the game, an act of generosity that touched hundreds of supporters.

Then, the wonderful hardworking staff at the club perused the National League regarding issues with under 16’s tickets.

In a statement, Grimsby Town said:

“After discussions with the National League, we are pleased to announce that Under 16’s Concession tickets are now available in the Upper Tier of the Northside of the London Stadium”

“Any supporter who had to purchase an adult ticket in the Upper Tier for an Under 16’s Concession can email kristine@marinerstrust.co.uk to discuss a solution”, they added.

“We’d like to thank the National League and staff at the London Stadium for their cooperation and for working quickly to resolve this situation for our fans, and everyone who donated to the Mariners Trust’s appeal”

“We truly are greater together. See you in London this weekend!”

Fans showered the club with love after this positive announcement, one saying: “I. Love. This. Club”

“Well done! Shouldn’t have ever come to this, many lessons to be learned but Grimsby Town go the extra step as always”, added another Mariner,

Celebrity Mariner, Lloyd Griffith said: “Oh I really do love this club”
