Search for teens who robbed vulnerable man in broad daylight

Police are currently searching for two teenagers who robbed a cyclist and broad daylight and stole his wallet.

According to reports, the two teens approached the man on Cromwell Road opposite the Lidl store as he stopped to fix his bike.

The pair then pounced, snatching his wallet from his back pocket at roughly 2:30 pm yesterday (May 9).

Both robbers are understood to have been wearing Liverpool tops and they are both understood to be about 16 years old. One may have been wearing a face-covering.

A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are investigating a robbery that is reported to have happened at around 2.30 pm on Sunday, May 8 on Cromwell Road in Grimsby.

“A man reported that he was fixing his bike at the roadside when two men took a wallet from his back pocket. If anyone has information that would help with our enquiries please call our non-emergency number quoting reference 16/53523/22.”
