Teenager charged for horrific attack on officer
A 15-year-old boy is one of two to be charged for attacks on emergency workers over the weekend, Humberside Police said.
Bethany Middleton (27) of Pryme Road, Scunthorpe, was detained and charged in relation to multiple assaults on police officers.
The incident happened at around 19:00 on Sunday 17 April.
Additionally, a 15-year-old boy from Grimsby, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had also been charged following an attack on emergency service workers.
In a statement, superintendent Paul Frenc stated that any assault on his colleagues, who come to work to protect and keep the local people safe, will not be tolerated.
He added:
“Anyone who thinks they can get away with assaulting emergency services workers should think again”
“We will always look to take action and seek prosecution for those individuals who commit such offences”
