WWE champion spotted enjoying Grimsby fish and chips

A former WWE Intercontinental Champion has been spotted in Grimsby recently, sampling our increasingly famous dish fish and chips.

D’Lo Brown visited popular hotspot The Barge located on the River Freshney this week, enjoying “perfect chips” and fish that tasted like it was “caught this morning”.

The Barge shared their excitement on their social media saying: “It’s not every day that a former WWE Intercontinental Champion comes onboard for tea.

“D’Lo Brown said “the fish tasted like it was caught this morning” accompanied by “the perfect chips with the crispy outside and fluffy inside”.

“Safe to say, we think he’s a fan of The Barge.”

The wrestling champion retweeted the image, adding: “Best fish and chips in the UK. You better recognize.”

D’Lo Brown visited the town to visit the Best Wrestling Revolution, which is a pro wrestling training facility for Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the Humber.

This is just the latest celebrity sighting in Grimsby, with Jason Manford being spotted also enjoying fish and chips whilst on his comedy tour last month.

Other sightings include A-list actor Thomas Brody-Sangster, who enjoyed a Papa’s fish and chips on his visit to Cleethorpes as well as Tommy Turgoose and Line of Duty star Vicky McClure being spotted drinking at Docks Beers earlier this year.
