By Police descend on Stanley Street
A number of Humberside Police officers and vehicles have been in attendance on Stanley Street, Grimsby, this afternoon.
According to witnesses, they were on the scene for most of the afternoon and have been spotted searching a residential property.
Officers were called to the scene at around 12:30pm following reports that a number of items had been stolen from a vehicle in the area.
A male suspect is thought to have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers were called to an address on Stanley Street, Grimsby after receiving reports that a number of parcels had been stolen from a van in the area at approximately 12.30pm.
“Following a prompt response from officers a man has now been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.”
