Police investigating theft from 12-year-old girl
Humberside Police are currently investigating a theft from a 12-year-old girl in Grimsby.
According to reports, the young girl and her friend were walking down Sixhills Street in Grimsby when she was approached from behind by an unknown man.
The man then reportedly took money from the girl before pushing her to the ground and running away.
Although the girl was thankfully unharmed, she has been left shaken by the ordeal.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers investigating a theft are appealing for information following an incident on Friday 28 January.
“At 7:30 pm a 12-year-old girl was walking along Sixhills Street, Grimsby with a friend when she was approached from behind by a man.
“The man is reported to have taken money from her and pushed her to the ground before fleeing the scene.
“Thankfully, the girl was physically unharmed but has understandably been left shaken by the incident.
“We are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time that may have dashcam footage. We would also appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 16/19333/22.”
