Delays on A180 after road traffic collision
Humberside Police are currently responding to a roaad traffic collision on the A180 near Great Coates interchange.
Officers were called to the scene at 11:30 am today after a vehicle collided with a barrier.
Thankfully, no one has been injured.
Motorists on the road are now facing delays as one of the lanes has been closed while emergency services carry out duties.
Earlier traffic was brought to an almost standstill as the AA traffic service said: “Road closed and queueing traffic due to crash on A180 Eastbound at A1136.
“Detour in operation – via the exit and entry slip roads. Affecting traffic heading towards Grimsby.”
Traffic is now slowly moving despite the lane closure after long tailbacks during the initial crash.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the eastbound A180 near the Great Coates interchange at around 11:30am today (Tuesday 1 March).
“It is reported that a vehicle collided with a barrier. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
“One of the lanes has been closed to allow emergency services to carry out their duties.
