The award has been granted by the National Association of British Markets.

A spokesperson for the market announced the award via social media, tweeting: “Absolutely over the moon right now!

Well-wishers wasted no time in congratulating the organisers on their success.

Locally, Doncaster Fish Market has also scooped an award, being named the best indoor small food market!
