Keeping it traditional with new Riby Street fishmonger!
A new traditional smokehouse has opened in Riby Street, Grimsby, promising a traditional approach to the industry that the local area used to thrive on.
Customers are already starting to flock to the King’s Dish and positive reviews are flooding in on social media.
A spokesperson for the store said it aims “to provide beautifully smoked fish for the very best price – without compromising one bit on the flavour of your fillets.”
The King’s Dish is housed in a grade 2 listed building, meaning it still retains the original smoking chimneys.
Speaking via Facebook, one customer wrote: “Wow. What absolutely beautiful smoked haddock. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for it. Best smoked fish I’ve ever tasted. Amazing”.
“First time I ordered from the kings dish. Excellent service, delivered to my door and tasted amazing. Thank you very much, I will certainly be ordering from you again,” added another.
We went down to Riby Street to check the place out. Heres what the owners had to say:
