By Motorists asked to avoid A180
Motorists are being asked to avoid the A180 near Barnetby Top following two local traffic incidents.
According to witnesses, a lorry has broken down on the A180 Grimsby, near to the Barnetby Top junction.
The incident is causing delays for traffic heading westbound.
A road traffic collision has also been reported on the M180.
Congestion is building rapidly.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Please be aware of a broken down lorry on the A180 Grimsby West bound.
“The incident is approximately 1 mile before Barnetby Top and drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.”
In a later update, the force added: “Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a lorry at approximately 8:10am this morning (Monday January 17) on the A180, Elsham.
“Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured as a result of the incident.”
