Appeal for witnesses following Grimsby robbery
Humberside Police is currently appealing for witnesses after a Grimsby robbery took place on Monday 3 January.
The incident occurred on Frederick Ward Way at around 9:30pm.
A 22-year-old woman was walking home when she was threatened by a woman before being thrown to the ground, the force reported.
The victim’s small, red and blue Lonsdale rucksack was stolen during the Grimsby robbery.
The woman thankfully only received minor injuries to her legs and face during the attack, but local officers are still keen to find the culprit.
The suspect is reportedly white with a slim build and long, dark hair.
She was last seen wearing a long, black coat down which had grey fur on its hood.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers investigating a reported robbery on Frederick Ward Way, Grimsby on Monday 3 January are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
“The incident happened at around 9.30pm when a 22-year-old woman was walking home.
“She was approached by a woman who allegedly threatened her before pushing her to the ground and stealing her small red and blue Lonsdale rucksack.
“The victim suffered what are thought to be minor injuries to her legs and face as a result of the attack.
“The suspect is described as white, of very slim build, with long dark hair which was worn down.”
During the Grimsby robbery, the culprit was reportedly “wearing a long black coat which was down to her waist with grey fur on the hood”.
