Police seeking driver who crashed into pedestrian on Cromwell Road
Officers from Humberside Police are asking for the driver of a ‘light-purple people carrier’ to come forward after colliding with a pedestrian.
According to reports, the driver of the car collided with a pedestrian on Cromwell Road, Grimsby last Thursday (9 December) at roughly 5;30 pm.
The driver of the vehicle stopped after the collision and offered his details to the pedestrian, however, they were too shaken to take them.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital for serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Officers investigating a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Cromwell Road, Grimsby last week are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to get in touch.”
The collision occurred at around 5.30pm when the vehicle, described as a light-coloured people carrier style car, collided with a man crossing the road.
“The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and spoke to the man, offering details, however the pedestrian was too shaken to take them.
“The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment to what are thought to be serious but not life-threatening injuries.
“Officers are now asking the driver to get in touch to assist with our enquiries. If this was you, or you can help us find him, please call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 237 of 09/12/21.”
